Drop-In Class: Sleep and Emotions: When Feelings Keep You Awake

Can you relate to this? Your head hits the pillow and suddenly every emotion you pushed aside all day decides to have a party.

You're not alone, and you're not broken. There's actually a beautiful reason why emotions surface at bedtime - it's when your nervous system finally has space to process what happened during the day. The challenge is learning how to be with these feelings in a way that supports rest rather than keeping you awake for hours.

In this gentle 60-minute class, we'll explore the intimate connection between emotions and sleep. You'll discover why certain feelings make it impossible to wind down, learn the difference between processing emotions and being overwhelmed by them, and practice tools to create enough emotional space for restorative sleep.

You'll learn:

  • Why emotions "wake up" at bedtime (and why this is actually normal)
  • How different feelings affect your nervous system's ability to rest
  • The art of "titration" - working with emotions in bite-sized pieces
  • Tapping techniques specifically for bedtime emotional overwhelm
  • When to process vs. when to simply regulate for sleep

Perfect for you if: Your mind races with worries at bedtime, you feel too much to fall asleep easily, you're carrying stress from the day into your bedroom, or you're ready to transform your relationship with nighttime emotions.

Come as you are - all feelings welcome. We'll practice holding space for whatever arises with compassion and curiosity.
